Republic, WA is a small town in a remote corner of the state—and the people who live here do so by choice.
After living here for just under two years, I’m still a newcomer. This video isn’t meant to speak over longtime residents or pretend Republic is something it’s not. Instead, it’s a simple, honest look at the activities, opportunities, and community life that already exist here—and an invitation to keep the conversation going.
Republic doesn’t offer endless commercial entertainment, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do. Much of life here is local, practical, and community-driven. Recreation isn’t something you just consume—it’s something you participate in. Community life isn’t outsourced—it’s built by the people who show up.
In this video, I walk through:
Outdoor recreation in and around Republic
Local history and learning opportunities
Community sports and school events
Faith, fellowship, and church life
Seasonal events and traditions
This is a brainstorming list, not a final word.
👇 What would you add?
If you’ve lived here longer than I have—and most of you have—I’d love to hear what I missed or what you value most about life in Republic.
Thanks for watching, and for being part of the conversation.
