John is one of several who has responded to a video short called “Science and Atheism Do Not Fit Together. I am attempting to help him see that his atheistic position, though dogmatic, is faith based. Below is the conversation as it stands today.

@johnchambers9836 sure it is. Atheism believes everything exists as a result of a cosmic explosion. That’s unbelievable. Atheism believes shark fossils are on the tops of mountains because of localized floods. That’s unbelievable. Atheism believes intelligence is the result of millions of accidental mutations. That’s unbelievable.
@johnchambers9836 I challenge you on that. I just think it's not thought you are willing to accept. You have presuppositions that preclude you from considering anything other than those presuppositions. IMO

@MarvinMcKenzie yeah I have presumptions that facts are facts and lies are lies. I have a very open mind and always willing to learn but I have already looked into this In depth and this is just lies
@johnchambers9836 And therein in the trouble. You have been lied to about what are facts. The things you BELIEVE are facts are, IN FACT, theories. They are even stable theories. They shift and tweak them yearly, and between the various scientific (so-called) fields of discipline. You don't need to agree with me, but you should see that you are in fact a part of a faith system. You believe the life evolved but it has not been proven. You believe the Grand Canyon took millions of years to happen, but it has not been proven. These are not facts. These are theories. Any secular study will tell you that.
